Does Scope have an MCP server?+
Yes. Scope runs a remote MCP server at https://scope.online/mcp. Connect it from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, or any MCP client with a restricted API key or OAuth. Starter can read score and citations; Growth can run checks and pull AI traffic.
Can ChatGPT use Scope MCP?+
Yes. ChatGPT custom connectors speak Streamable HTTP at https://scope.online/mcp. That is not the Google “scope mcp” SERP, which is OAuth permission scopes. On 7 Sep 2026 /agents received 5 ChatGPT sessions. Paste the endpoint plus a restricted API key; do not confuse it with OAuth scope strings.
Is Scope in the Claude or ChatGPT directories?+
Not as an official listed connector yet. Add Scope today as a custom connector: paste https://scope.online/mcp and a restricted API key. The listing package at /agents/directories is what we submit to official directories.
What is MCP?+
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT securely connect to tools. Scope runs an MCP server — connect it once and your assistant can read your visibility data and act on your plan.
Does Scope replace my SEO stack?+
No. Scope is additive to Google SEO. Keep your keyword, technical, and content SEO program. Scope monitors how ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity recommend your business — and lets an agent operate that work.
Which agents work with Scope?+
Claude, ChatGPT, Hermes, OpenClaw, Grokbot, Cursor, Claude Code, and any client that speaks MCP. If your assistant supports connectors or MCP servers, it works with Scope.
Is Scope in Claude’s connector directory?+
Not yet as an official listing. Add it today as a custom connector: Claude → Settings → Connectors → add https://scope.online/mcp with a restricted API key.
What are checks?+
Checks are the unit Scope uses for actions that do work — running a readiness check or testing a prompt. Reports and reads don't spend checks. For operate/test/setup the agent enrolls, scans, and echoes the receipt after. It stops before spending only if the action would auto-upgrade, hit quota_exceeded, or a hard cap.
Can my agent break something?+
No. Today agents draft fixes — schema, FAQ content — and you apply them. Nothing touches your site without your approval, and you can revoke access anytime from your Scope settings.
Can my agency use one agent for many clients?+
Yes. A key can see every business on the account, or you can issue a key locked to one client. A selected-business key cannot add new sites.
Do I need to be technical?+
No. Create a key in Settings → API keys, paste the Claude or Cursor snippet from Settings → Agents, and ask a question in chat. Official directory one-click install is still pending listing.
Does Scope have a REST API?+
Yes. The same tools and API keys as MCP are available over HTTPS at https://scope.online/v1. Reads are GET /v1/{tool}. Actions are POST /v1/{tool}. Docs: https://scope.online/docs/api. OpenAPI: https://scope.online/v1/openapi.json.
Is Scope MCP down when Slack or Hermes says unreachable?+
No. Slack/Hermes “unreachable” is the gateway, not product MCP. Check https://scope.online/mcp over HTTP — that is the health check.
