Scope is designed to support marketing agencies managing AI visibility for multiple clients. This guide covers how to set up your agency workspace, organize client accounts, manage team access, and build a reporting workflow.
Setting Up Your Agency Workspace
When you sign up as an agency, Scope creates a single workspace where all your clients can be managed from one dashboard.
Initial setup checklist:
- Create your agency account using your agency email domain (e.g., yourname@youragency.com)
- In Account Settings → Profile, add your agency name and logo
- Enable team seats for your team members (Growth plan includes 3 team seats)
- Create a shared folder structure or naming convention for clients before adding the first one
Adding Clients
For each client, add a business profile:
- Click Add Business in the main dashboard
- Enter the client's business information exactly as it appears on their Google Business Profile — precision matters for AI monitoring accuracy
- Set the business category to the client's primary service type
- Add their location (for local businesses) or leave blank (for SaaS/e-commerce)
- Add key competitors (typically 2-3 per client)
- Name the business profile in a way that works for your internal organization (e.g., "Client Name — Service Type" or "Business Name — Market")
Pro tip: Use consistent naming conventions across all clients to make your dashboard easy to navigate as you scale.
Organizing the Client Dashboard
Scope's dashboard shows all your businesses in one view. To stay organized as you add more clients:
- Use the search bar to quickly find specific clients
- Pin your most active clients to the top of the list
- Archive inactive clients (pause monitoring without deleting data)
- Use the comparison view to quickly see all clients' AI Visibility Scores at a glance
Team Access and Roles
Inviting team members:
- Go to Account Settings → Team
- Click Invite Team Member and enter their email
- Assign a role:
- Admin: Full access to all businesses, settings, and billing
- Editor: Can view and edit all businesses, cannot access billing
- Viewer: Read-only access to all businesses
Client-level access (coming soon): Scope is building client-specific access controls so you can invite clients to view only their own business data. For now, if you need to share data with clients, use Scope's report export feature.
Generating Client Reports
Scope generates white-label-friendly reports that you can include in client reporting:
- Navigate to a client's business profile
- Click Generate Report in the top right
- Select the time range (Monthly, Quarterly, or Custom)
- Choose which sections to include:
- AI Visibility Score trend
- Platform breakdown (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity)
- Competitor comparison
- Top opportunities (recommendations)
- Prompt-level results
- Export as PDF
Report cadence recommendation:
- Monthly reports for all active clients
- Quarterly deep-dive reports with competitive analysis
- Include Scope report data in your broader monthly marketing report
Building Client Communication Around AI Visibility
AI visibility is a new concept for most clients. A few communication frameworks that work well:
Setting expectations: "AI visibility is measured over months, not weeks. Think of it like a credit score — each action we take incrementally improves your score. We'll track this monthly so you can see the trend."
Explaining the score: "Your AI Visibility Score of 34 means you're recommended by AI in about 34% of relevant queries we monitor. The industry average for [category] is [X]. Our goal for Q[N] is [target score]."
Showing competitive context: "Your main competitor [Name] has a score of 52. Here's exactly why and what we're doing about it."
Monitoring Client Performance at Scale
With multiple clients, build a weekly monitoring routine:
- Open Scope and review the dashboard for any score changes or alerts
- Check which clients have new reviews that need responses
- Review any critical score drops (more than 5 points in a week) as priority items
- Capture any new optimization opportunities in your agency task tracker
For clients with very active competitive markets, consider setting up weekly automated scan alerts.
Billing and Plan Management
Scope's pricing is based on the number of businesses monitored:
- Starter ($29/month): 1 business, 25 prompts per business
- Growth ($49/month): Up to 3 businesses, 100 prompts per business, 3 team seats
For agencies managing more than 3 clients, contact us at support@scope.online to discuss agency pricing. We offer volume pricing for agencies managing 5+ clients.
Q: Can I set up Scope under the client's account, or should it be under my agency account? A: We recommend managing clients under your agency account for ease of central management. If clients need direct access, create a Growth plan under your account and invite them as Viewer role, or set up a separate client account and transfer it to them if they ever want to manage it independently.
Q: How do I handle client onboarding into Scope? A: A smooth onboarding flow: (1) Add the client's business profile during or shortly after your kickoff call; (2) Run the first scan together on screen-share so the client sees their baseline score; (3) Walk through the top 3 recommendations together; (4) Set up the first monthly report delivery. Having the client see their score in the first meeting creates immediate engagement.
