Managing Teams and Business Slots

5 min read

Scope is built for teams. Whether you're a marketing agency managing multiple clients or a business owner with a team helping manage your AI presence, here's how to structure your account effectively.

Adding Team Members

Navigate to Settings → Team. Click Invite Team Member.

Enter their email address and select a role:

  • Admin — full access to all businesses, billing, and team settings. Can invite/remove team members. Use for account owners and senior team leads.
  • Manager — full access to all businesses and scan data. Cannot access billing or remove other users. Use for account managers and practitioners.
  • Viewer — read-only access to all businesses and reports. Cannot run scans or modify settings. Use for clients who want to monitor their own data without making changes.

The invitee receives an email and creates their own Scope account, which is then linked to your team workspace.

Business Slots

Each Scope plan includes a fixed number of business slots — the number of separate businesses you can monitor simultaneously.

| Plan | Business Slots | |------|---------------| | Starter | 1 | | Growth | 3 | | Agency | 10 | | Enterprise | Unlimited |

You can add a business to a slot at any time and remove one to free up the slot for a different business. Note: removing a business from a slot permanently deletes all historical scan data for that business. Export any reports you need before removing.

Organizing Multiple Businesses (Agencies)

If you're managing AI visibility for multiple clients, use the Business Groups feature to organize your slots:

  1. Go to Businesses → Groups
  2. Create groups by client, industry, or any category that makes sense
  3. Assign each business to a group
  4. Filter all reports and dashboards by group

This lets you quickly pull up all businesses for a specific client without scrolling through an unorganized list.

Client Reporting

For each business, generate a shareable Client Report from the Benchmarks or Visibility Score view. Client Reports include:

  • Visibility Score trend (current month vs. last month)
  • Top wins (prompts where the business was newly mentioned)
  • Top opportunities (highest-impact prompts with no mention)
  • Competitive benchmarks (how they compare to category average)
  • Completed optimizations this period

Reports are generated as PDFs and can be branded with your agency logo in Settings → Branding (Agency plan and above).

White-Label Options

Agency plan users can enable White-Label Mode, which removes Scope branding from client-facing reports and the client portal. Clients log in through your custom subdomain (youragency.scope.online) and see your branding.

Set this up in Settings → White-Label.

Q: Can a team member only see specific businesses, not all of them? A: Not yet. Currently, team members have access to all businesses in the workspace based on their role. Business-level permission controls are on the product roadmap. For now, agencies typically create separate workspaces for clients who shouldn't see each other's data.

Q: What happens to a business's data when I remove it from a slot? A: All historical scan data is permanently deleted. This action cannot be undone. Always export reports before removing a business.
